Car Parking

There is very limited parking underneath the Ravelin Centre. We suggest you Google search Just Park, and look for Portsmouth Grammar School. They are allowing spaces to be booked for our event or street parking through the Ringo app.

Food

There is a Starbucks cafe onsite to purchase hot and cold drinks but please ensure you bring a water bottle. The centre does have fountains to refill these. Participants should bring adequate food for the day.

Parents and Spectators

The entrance fee for parents and spectators are £10 per adult and £5 per under 14 year old. Please bring cash and pay on the door.

Matches

Each Team Coach will be given a breakdown of all their students mat times.

In order for us to manage the event efficiently, we ask that all students wear their lanyards and show the judges before each match. This will help us find you. Each match will be called and it is the students responsibility to ensure they are available. We will call twice and if the student is not there, they will forfeit the match. We don’t want this to happen so please ensure each student knows which mat and what time they should be available for.

Kyorugi Armour

Kyorugi matches require each student to be ready on time. This means in full armour including a White or translucent gum shield and NOT ANY OTHER COLOUR. The judges will refuse any candidate that is not adequately dressed.

Please ensure the body armour is the correct colour. Ask the mat team if you are unsure but your team manager will be given this information.

We will not have spare combat equipment to lend or hire. If you forget something then please consult your team manager.

Welcome and Good Luck

Our management team and students, look forward to welcoming you all to our annual event. If you have any questions on the day, please do find one of us and we will be happy to help.

Photography

We do not have our usual photographers this year, but we are trialing a new photo system. There will be a mixture of digital photos and video taken throughout the day. These will be available to purchase through the following website after the event. Please sign up through the website to be notified when the photos are uploaded and available.
